A reference build: we made this ourselves to show how we work. It is not a client engagement, there is no customer to name, and there are no measured outcomes to report - so this page does not pretend to have any.
The repeat customer who should not arrive via a platform
A reference build: an own-channel ordering and booking site for a group, issuing compliant myDATA receipts, with delivery-platform orders landing in the same kitchen queue rather than on a fourth tablet.

The numbers
- 4
- Tablets the kitchen worked during service, one per channel, reconciled by eye
- 1
- Queue every channel writes into, so a service is one screen
- 2
- VAT treatments that differ and get confused: eaten in and taken away
The problem
A group's best customers - the ones who search for it by name - were arriving through a delivery platform, which means the margin and the customer's details both belonged to somebody else. Meanwhile the kitchen was working four tablets during service, one per channel, reconciling them by eye.
What we did
- 1
The own channel was built to serve the customer who already knows the name, not to replace the platforms. The platforms bring demand a restaurant genuinely cannot reach alone, and that demand is worth its commission - the target was the repeat order, which is not.
- 2
Every channel writes into one kitchen queue, so service is one screen. Most of the operational gain turned out to be here rather than in the margin: four tablets reconciled by eye is where the mistakes were.
- 3
Receipts issue through a certified myDATA provider with the VAT treatment correct for dine-in against takeaway, which differ - getting that wrong is a reconciliation problem that surfaces a quarter later.
- 4
Confirmations go out on Viber rather than email, because in Greece that is the channel people actually read and reply on.
Where it got to
The change worth describing is ownership rather than a percentage: the group can now email its own customers next season without asking a platform for permission. No commission figures are quoted here because none were measured in a way we could show you.
A worked example
Most of the operational gain was not in the margin. It was here:
- Channels before
- 4 tablets
- Channels after
- 1 queue
- Where the mistakes happened
- reconciling by eye
- Confirmation channel
- Viber
- Customer details on a repeat order
- yours
No commission percentage appears, on purpose. The platforms bring demand a restaurant cannot reach alone and that demand is worth its cut. The target was the repeat order, which is not.
